HOW CAN WE HELP YOUR TEEN?
They need a fun and productive way to improve their physical and mental health.
They could benefit from learning how to manage their emotions in difficult situations.
They want to increase discipline to prepare for college or full-time work.
Teenagers Need the Right Guidance as They Move into Adulthood
You want the best for your teenager and as they prepare for the adult world, you recognize that it’s most important to give them the tools and guidance they need to figure things out for themselves. With increasing maturity comes increasing responsibility – and your teen can manage it all with a little help. But where can they get it?
Teen martial arts training helps teenagers get to know themselves and their capabilities. The lessons they learn on the mat will stay with them for the rest of their lives – at home, at school, and on the job.
Your Teen Will Grow Every Time They Step on the Mat!
Martial arts training gives teens everything they need to grow into adulthood with grace and clarity. Every time your teen steps on the mat, they’ll learn how to move through life with self-respect and persistence. By treating themselves and others with dignity, they’ll discover the benefits of discipline and how it can help them to achieve their goals.
Build Self-Respect and Self-Worth
Self-respect is the cornerstone of success and teens can sometimes struggle with self-esteem, judging themselves harshly.
In the world of martial arts, respect is a cornerstone value. Every teen is treated with respect by instructors and fellow students alike.
Best of all, teens learn that when they respect themselves, others will respect them too – and they’ll be respected wherever they go.
Learn Good Judgment and How to Use It
In life, the best outcome is often determined by the decision-making process and learning what good judgment is and how to use it.
In martial arts classes, students learn how to make judgments in the moment using the information they have available in conjunction with their training.
At the same time, they learn how to evaluate decisions and the elements of healthy decision-making, internalizing the ability to identify good judgment and use it in their lives.
Build a Healthy Body for a Healthy Life
Today’s teens are digital natives and may not have enough opportunities to move their bodies and keep themselves healthy and fit.
We all need our share of physical activity and exercise to lead healthy lives, and teenagers are no exception.
Our martial arts classes provide teens with the activity they need in a fun and social setting that builds overall fitness and tones their bodies.
HOW TO SET (AND ACHIEVE) GOALS
Your teen doesn’t need to know exactly what they want from life, but they do need to know how to set realistic goals and work toward them.
One of the biggest benefits of martial arts training for teens is that in class, teens pursue goals constantly. Each skill they master – and each belt they earn – represents a goal they’ve achieved.
By making goal-setting a practice, martial arts training prepares teens for life, giving them the tools they need to identify, set, and achieve their goals – whatever they are.
The team at Tiger Martial Arts are welcoming and really encouraging. I started with the goal of improving my fitness and flexibility and have definitely done both of those things while having lots of fun and making friends. The instructors take the time to engage with everyone during classes and I leave feeling invigorated and happy. It is also a great way to blow off steam if you have had a bad day! I would encourage anyone to give it a go and see what you think!
If you are considering Martial Arts for yourself, a friend of family member/child then look no further.
Tiger Martial Arts never ceases to impress us with their organisation, their dedication to their students, their customer service and quality of training.
Sending both our young children here has been hands down the most positive decision we have made for our children's development both on and off the training mats.
We're excited to a long relationship with Tiger & all the Team.
I look forward to attending my classes every week, I have great workouts and lots of fun. Motivating and attentive instructors who create a comfortable environment for everyone. I have fallen in love with martial arts and the amazing changes it has made to my overall health, fitness and confidence!!
Both my daughter and I are Tiger members and it’s our favourite thing to do! We feel a great sense of belonging and constantly learn and develop both in fitness and martial arts skills. So much fun! The whole instructor team is so great, providing lots of support balanced with challenge so you can stretch yourself. The kids classes are amazing! As a parent I am really impressed with how the learning in class extends into life at home. And particularly how confidence building it has been for my daughter. She absolutely loves it!
Our two sons joined Tiger about a year ago and loved it from day one. The instructors are so good with kids, making them feel welcome from the start and breaking down the techniques really well. Our boys love it. I have no idea how the instructors remember everyone's names but they do! In fact, the club has such a strong community ethos that I've joined the Adult Classes! Cannot recommend them enough!
