Biography
I’m a passionate martial arts instructor with a mission to help others grow stronger, inside and out.
My journey in martial arts began with Karate at a young age, where I earned my black belt. While the discipline and skills I developed were invaluable, I often found myself longing for a sense of connection. That changed the moment I joined Tiger, from my very first session, I felt truly welcomed. The inclusive, encouraging atmosphere and the opportunity to train alongside other women completely transformed my experience. Since 2021, Tiger has become much more than just a place to train, it’s where I found friendship, confidence, and a renewed passion for martial arts.
Whilst teaching at Tiger, I’ve had the privilege of guiding students through their own martial arts journey. I was inspired to become an instructor because of the positive impact martial arts had on my life, and I wanted to give that same gift to others. I had wonderful mentors along the way whose encouragement helped shape the way I teach today.
Whether you’re starting out to improve your fitness, learn self-defence, build confidence or simply try something new, I’m here to support you. It’s completely normal to feel unsure and apprehensive at the beginning, everyone starts somewhere. What matters most is showing up, giving it your best, and celebrating the small wins. Watching someone grow from nervous beginner to confident martial artist is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
In my classes, you’ll find a positive, high-energy environment where every student feels seen and supported. I set clear, achievable goals to help you track progress, and I always bring enthusiasm and encouragement to the mats. My focus is not only on teaching solid technique and building fitness, but also on helping you develop self-belief and discipline that extends far beyond class.
Outside of martial arts, I’m a lifelong sports enthusiast. I enjoy weightlifting, group fitness, and tennis – a sport I love for both its intensity and the strategic thinking it demands. I’ve competed in several tennis tournaments, often placing first or second, and I enjoy the thrill of every match. I’m also deeply passionate about women’s health and community outreach. I’m currently involved in a local initiative to combat period poverty by providing free products and raising awareness in schools.
One of my favourite quotes is from fitness coach Javeno Mclean: “You are not your limits.” It’s a powerful reminder that every challenge is an opportunity to grow, and that our potential is far greater than we think.
When you train with me, you’ll be met with a smile, plenty of encouragement and a strong push to be your best. I care deeply about each student’s progress and want every session to leave you stronger, more confident, and walking out the door with a big smile on your face.
